Pain in Labor- Breaking the Cycle

It's human nature to fear the unknown.

How to Prevent Pain in Labor

In labor, fear (and the stress that is created as a result) can produce hormones called catecholamines, that can interfere with labor.

Think about it: when you're afraid, you're tense.  When you're tense, things hurt more.  Then, you become afraid of the pain which leads you into the Fear, Tension, Pain cycle.

You've got to break, or even better, prevent the cycle.
