At birth | Fort Worth, covid safety is top of mind.
Let’s be honest; the last 2 years have been incredibly difficult for everyone, but especially for those navigating pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. It is our goal to continue to offer the expert support we’re known for while staying Covid aware.
Below are a few of the ways we are dedicated to keeping our families and clients safe.
Your doula reserves the right to wear a mask as they see fit.
You may request that your doula wear a mask at any time.
During the birth, we ask that you follow the mask protocols of your chosen facility. Your doula will do the same.
We understand that our doula has the right to offer virtual support in place of in-person support if anyone present at the birth (Client or their Partner/Support Person) is Covid positive at the time of birth. No refunds will be given if Client fails to utilize available support options.
If I have Covid-19, when can I expect to resume in-person support with my doula(s)?
Per the CDC, in-person support may be resumed 10 days after symptoms first appeared and 24 hours with no fever without the use of fever-reducing medications and other symptoms of COVID-19 are improving.
Please note, many of our doulas are fully vaccinated or in the vaccination process. Feel free to reach out to us for more information.
At the end of the day, we are humans. Our doulas are moms, daughters, partners & spouses. We work up close and personal with many families every single day and we believe it is our responsibility to do everything in our power to never be the reason someone gets sick. We have made promises to ourselves and families to be as safe as possible while we work to support our clients.
Our policies were not agreed upon lightly, but with heavy consideration, reflection and research. We will continue to monitor the numbers daily and will make adjustments to our policy as needed. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at info@birthfortworth.com.
